Quick Start: Part 3 - Customizing Look & Feel
This part provides instructions for customizing the look and feel of
your search result pages.
Logging In
All customization is done through the ES.NET Search Administrator
area: http://www.innerprisesearch.com/esearch/.
To login, you'll need to use the user name and password you specified
when you signed up.
Customizing
Without customizing the look and feel, your search result pages
will have the look and feel of the InnerpriseSearch.com search result pages,
including our header and footer.
To customize the look and feel, click on the Customize tab at the top of the
screen, then:
-
Provide any header HTML code you would like displayed at the top of the results
[All image and hyperlinks must contain your full URL]
-
Provide any footer HTML code you would like displayed at the bottom of the
results.
[All image and hyperlinks must contain your full URL]
-
Next, specify the look and feel of the search result elements. You can
turn off the ones you do not want to display by removing the check mark from
the Show box next to item. Top Bar refers to the search bar at the top of
the search results.
-
At the very bottom you can specify which type of search box (if any) to show at
the top and bottom of the search results.
-
Finally, click the "Save Changes" button to save your changes.
Your search results are now customized! You may need to run a few searches
to tweak the look and feel.
NOTE: Some users are experiencing being logged out when saving the
changes. The changes are still being saved and you can simply log back
in. We're looking into this problem.
